It is my pleasure to personally invite you to be part of the Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit & Festival (SEMTSF) 2025. Building on the incredible success of last year, this year's event promises to be even more impactful as we continue our mission to nurture resilience and wellbeing in a diverse and inclusive workforce.
SEMTSF is a catalyst for change, driving meaningful conversations and actionable solutions to create a more inclusive workforce. Over five dynamic days, we will bring together business leaders, policymakers, community representatives, and talented professionals to exchange insights, spark innovation, and develop meaningful solutions to nurture and empower Scotland's ethnic minority talent. From thought-provoking discussions at the Summit to the prestigious SEMSF Awards Gala and the vibrant Festival, this is a unique opportunity to engage with and champion Scotland's future.

Our Journey
2022 - The Beginning
The inaugural Scottish Black Talent Summit marked our first step towards transforming Scotland's workforce. Hosted in Edinburgh, we brought together:
- 120 delegates
- 10 exhibitors
- Key stakeholders from Black Talent, HR, D&I, and Government sectors
2023 - Growing Impact
Our second annual summit expanded significantly, featuring:
- 332 registered delegates (268 attendees)
- 20 exhibitors
- Two-day hiring and networking event
2024 - Evolution & Growth
Rebranded as SEMTSF, we expanded to a five-day festival celebrating diversity:
- 512 total participants
- 84 dedicated volunteers
- 23 exhibitors and 3 major sponsors
- Multiple fringe events across Scotland

Building on the remarkable success of SEMTSF 2024, the Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit & Festival (SEMTSF) 2025 returns as a five-day flagship event, taking place from October 6th to 10th, 2025. This expanded format reflects our commitment to fostering a more inclusive, diverse, and thriving workforce in Scotland.
SEMTSF is a talent-driven initiative that convenes key stakeholders, including local employers, government agencies, non-profit organisations, and community leaders, to exchange insights, share best practices, and develop actionable strategies for attracting, retaining, and advancing ethnic minority talent across Scotland's industries.
What to Expect at SEMTSF 2025?
Fringe Events
Hosted across Scotland at partner organisations' premises, these sessions provide industry-specific discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities that foster collaboration and drive solutions for a more diverse workforce.
The Summit
A full-day conference featuring expert panels, keynote speeches, and interactive discussions on key topics such as workplace inclusion, career advancement, leadership, and digital equity.
Awards Gala
A prestigious celebration recognising outstanding contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in the workplace, honouring individuals and organisations making a difference.
The Festival
A vibrant cultural and business showcase celebrating Scotland's diverse talent through exhibitions, live performances, career fairs, and networking opportunities.
